Calving season in Pennsylvania has started a bit early this year. My
twin boys Carson David & Wyatt David arrived on February 7th. They
decided to make an early entrance in attempts not to miss what should
be a great Winter Conference coming up March 5-7th. Of course their
first stop after leaving the hospital wasn’t our house, it was their
Grandpa David’s barn. The same barn where my passion began for the
animals I work with on a daily basis. It was a sleepy first visit but
hopefully an introduction to the agricultural industry that will last a
As a new generation arrives, another one sadly is lost. It’s with a very
heavy heart that we lost Wayne Calloway in November. His kind and
inspiring demeanor will be missed by many and his position as editor
of this newsletter will be hard to fill. If you have any interest in
