Greetings,
Special thanks to Greg and Jacqueline of Owl Creek Bison for hosting our Fall Conference. We had a great turn out! If you missed it, you missed some great bison meals and networking between bison producers both new and experienced. Much appreciation to Greg for his contribution to the association in donating the entire conference!
Be sure to keep an eye out for our merchandise special that will be on the website from Black Friday through Christmas.
Also, please keep Wayne & Mary Beth Calloway in your prayers over the coming days. Wayne has been a wonderful friend and a huge asset to our association for many years. He continues to struggle with some serious health issues and could use your prayers and encouragement.
I’m excited to announce that the EBA board has set some new incentives for the upcoming show & sale. More information can be found on page 6 of the newsletter. Please note that these incentives are only good through December 31st so please don’t delay in getting your animals consigned! If you have any questions about the new incentives or if you’re considering consigning for the first time, don’t hesitate to reach out!
Along with the show & sale incentives, we will be having an early bird special for the conference as well. Registration is now open on the website and will be discounted through December 31st. The conference will focus on herd health and nutrition. All of the speakers are lined up and we’re very excited about the topics they’ll be covering. Flip to page 5 for a full agenda.
With fall roundups behind us, hopefully your herd pregnancy rates were high and your summer gains were on track. Speaking of pregnancy checks… I’m right there with the bison cows on pregnancy status but mine are twin boys that are due in February! I hope everyone is looking forward to our winter conference as much as I’m looking forward to bringing my newborn twins to their first EBA event and introducing the next generation of bison producers.
