MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

As most of you know by now we had a successful meeting at Somerset, New Jersey. The outstanding speakers put on good presentations for all those who attended.

One of the highlights of the membership meeting was the presentation of a proposed web site by our talented Secretary/Treasurer, Stu. This was approved and given the go ahead. As usual there was a lengthy board meeting and much was accomplished. The information will be provided in complete report on this in the Board minutes.

I would like to touch on the trend in the Bison industry at this time. It looks like 20% increase in production may leap ahead of the meat marketing and promoting in the future if we don't concentrate on doing more promotion. Also we are receiving competition from Canadian Bison meat on the East coast. While I don't believe in the old adage, "the sky is falling", I think we need to address this and begin to work on it. If anyone has questions on this feel free to call me.
