Message from the President
The EBA Board of Directors has again approved the annual Show & Sale. The dates are March 8th - 10th, 2012. The 16th annual event will be held at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Much emphasis must be placed on the need for our members to support this event. We trust you will start choosing a few animals to bring and encourage your fellow producers to do the same.
Also, don't forget we need buyers. The formula for a successful Show & Sale is simple - bring a few, buy a few, and volunteer to help Tupper and Aaron during sale week.
Please find the necessary entry forms under the Events page. Note that the Carcass Class is to be continued this year along with some very nice prizes. We will take the first ten postmarked entries for this class. The bison for this class can be delivered Thursday morning, March 8th to Smuckers Meats, Mt. Joy, PA.
There are several changes effective with this letter: 1)Worming with Ivomec or equivalent treatment within 30 days of sale; 2) clarification of teething for 2 year old bred female on Tooth Certification form; 3) TB test requirement is now within 60 days prior to entry into state; 4) two new entry classes have been added - Pen of 2 Female Calves and Pen of 2 Bull Calves; 5) Fine for 2 year old bull with evidence of 5th tooth reduced from $500 to $50. Please read all of the forms carefully to comply with these changes.
The EBA is in need of additional trophy sponsors for the event. If you would be willing to sponsor a trophy or additional trophies, please contact Aaron Calfee.
Additionally, if you have questions regarding your Vet paperwork or need assistance in locating a Vet to accommodate the requirements, don't hesitate to contact your Co-Chairs.
